Per Ekedahl holds a Masters in music education from the Royal College of Music, Stockholm (Sweden), where he studied choral conducting with maestro Robert Sund. However, his greatest influence in the field of choirs has definitely been the legendary conductor Eric Ericson whos’ work he followed for several years. He sang for 15 years as a professional choir singer (tenor) in choirs conducted by this world renowned Swedish choir conductor, and with whom he made more than thirty international concert tours. Per also attended several master classes performed by Maestro Ericson. Per has been also involved in several choir projects as concert producer and tour manager.

As a choir conductor Per Ekedahl has worked with youth choirs, mixed choirs and male choirs and with chamber choirs at a more evolved artistic level. In 1996, in Prague (Czech Republic), Per was awarded a gold medal in an international competition for choirs.
